For more than 10 years, mechanical and mining industries from throughout Perth and all over Western Australia have been utilising Allflow’s Oil Water Separators. This is because they specialise in the design, construction and maintenance of oil water separators. Coupled with their wash bay and wash pad facilities, which range from small mechanical workshops to large earthmoving and heavy equipment bays, it is easy to why Allflow are considered the Oil Water Separator specialists in the Perth metro and surrounding regions.
What do Oil Water Separators do?
Allflow’s Oil Water Separators are designed to operate based on the specific gravity difference between the oil and the wastewater. This is because the difference is much smaller than the specific gravity difference between the suspended solids and water. As a result, most of the solids that are suspended will settle to the bottom of the separator as a sediment layer, while the oil rises to top, and the wastewater will be the middle layer between the oil on top and the solids on the bottom. The process of the oil water separator is to skim off the oil layer and remove the bottom sediment layer by scraper and sludge pump.
Industry uses for Oil Water Separators
Oil water separators have both economical and environmental benefits as they considerably reduce water usage . Industries with wash pads, wash bays, and commercial cleaning applications are some of the primary users of oil water separators. This is due to the reduction in water usage costs and the creation of less waste byproduct. Industries using Oil Water Separators include:
- Wash down bays/ Wash Pads
- Panel Beaters
- Car Detailers
- Mechanical Workshops
- Service Stations/Fuel Depots
- Loading Bays
- Auto Dismantlers
- Equipment Hire Companies
- Commercial Car Washes
- Engine Re-conditioners
